1972

Started practice of classic ballet at "Alejo Carpentier", the Provincial School of Ballet, later entered

Escuela National de Arte(ENA) and studied under such dancers as Alicia Alonso, Jorge Esquivel, Aurora Bosch, La’zaro Carreno and Andre’s Williams.

1980

Graduated at top of ballet class from the Escuela National de Arte with an excellent academic record.

 

1980

Joined National Ballet of Cuba (BNC), directed by Alicia Alonso. As a soloist, he participated in overseas dance tours and performed at the world's major theatres for 11 years.

 

1982

Started to dance as principal at "Iniecia conJovenes Talentos" (A talented group of young dancers) established Laura Alonso.

1991

Joined the Cuban National Opera & Lirico Theater as a principal dancer. He performed various repertoires ranging from classical ballet to contemporary dance and participated in overseas tours and performances.

Principal Teacher of Contemporary Dance from he Cuban government

Institute Superior de Arte (University of Art teacher)

 

Taught many students for private organizations, ballet companies in Cuba and Europe (France, Italy, Russia, etc.), and lead them in international competitions.

2015

Ismael was nominated National adviser of dance in Cuba & performing arts.

Choreography a homage to Alicia Alonso with the Folklórico Nacional and chorus of Children.

 

2016

Performing arts and  Conjunto Folklórico Nacional appointed him first level of Maitre of Ballet recommendation, and he has been invited to Colombia by Fernando Montaño Royal Ballet Dancer to train him in as he was working in the reality Dancing with the Stars.
